After the Parade Samantha had about a 2 hour break before she had to perform at the Dairy Days Carnival. She was such a trooper. It was so hot, and she was hungry and food lines were very long. But we found a Got Milk vendor and enjoyed Free Milk and String Cheese. Dad finally was able to get to the front of the line for Hot Dogs and Chips, and so after a little fuel she was ready. She did so well. She just joined this Dance Class 2 weeks ago, so she only has attended two classes prior to this performance.

Summer is officially here! 6/21/08
Dairy Days Parade 6-21-02
This past weekend was Dairy Days in Wendell, ID. Wendell is a small town about 12 miles northwest of Jerome. Samantha and Hunter were both in the parade. Sam was with her Dance class called Dance Factory and Hunter rode on the Canyonside Christian School float. It was really fun to have the kids in the parade. A first for both of them. They loved it too!
Sam walking in the parade. She just saw me and is waving. The parade route was 1 mile and Samantha walked and danced the entire mile. She was so proud of herself, and we were too! I didn't expect her to walk the whole thing. It was 10:30 AM and already it was 80 degrees outside.
Way to go big girl!

Sam and Hunter Get Glasses - 6/7/09
Sam and Hunter sporting their new glasses.
Hunter had been complaining that he could not see the board in school, so we took him to the eye doctor, and sure enough, he wasn't. So he is now wearing glasses most of the time. While we were getting the glasses at Wal-mart for Hunter, the kind lady mentioned that they do free screening for kids for eye problems. She recommended that I get Sam and Tucker tested. I did not think anything of it, so I had them do it. Good thing - Samantha has a stigmatism in her right eye, and it was turning in, and she basically was not using her right eye. So, now, she is wearing glasses and will forever. She is a trooper about it, loves them, and wears them all the time. Tucker was tested and he also has a slight stigmatism in his right eye, but right now it is so mild that he doesn't need glasses, so we will just continually test him every 6 months to see if there are any changes.
We think Hunter is very handsome and smart looking, and Samantha is beautiful in their new eyewear. Of course Sam's glasses are pink, and this was a must for her. She was very grown up when picking them out, and Hunter was very set on getting a pair that represented a Sport of some sort. His nose pieces have #9 for Kasey Kahne, a Nascar driver. Both of them are very good about wearing their glasses, and Hunter comments all the time how much better he can see.

Just a little preview of the activity in our house for a week. The kids had a wonderful time and so did Mom and Dad. In this video, the kids are performing for all their stuffed animals which are lined up on the fire place. Notice the nice Jazz pants Tucker is wearing. He loves to Dress Up with Big Sis. Watch little "t" as he starts removing all the animals, and the others get irritated. Tucker especially - as he says, "That's my stuff". So cute!
Visit from the T family 5/31-6/6
Our Great Friends from WA, The "T" family came for a visit. It was wonderful to have them here with us.
Tucker and "T" watching movie and eating popcorn. Tucker loves his friend "T".
Girlfriends! Sam and "R" Posing with their new nightgowns.
Our one and only warm day while they were here - The kids had a blast this day playing in the pool, eating Otter Pops, and hanging out, outside. The rest of the week we were house bound because it was to cold and windy to play outside.
Tucker and Uncle "K". Early morning reading time. By the expression on Tucker's face, I wonder what Uncle "K" just said. :o)
