My straight A Student!

Hunter just received his report card for the 2nd Quarter, and he again, received all A's. We are so proud of him. But the best of all is the teachers comments: She said "I appreciate Hunter's willing and obediant heart. He continues to excell in his work!" I am more proud of the comments than the grades. Way to go Hunter!

Static Electricity

Samantha thought it was so funny that her hair did this. So fun and cute!

More about Weather.

So, since I posted the last post about our weather, (3 hours ago), it is still snowing, only harder, and we now have 6 inches. Looking forward to some playtime tomorrow hopefully. I will post pictures if the kiddos cooperate. Everyone tells us that this weather is very unusual. Umm....! Bye for now.

Hunter is Playing Basketball

Hunter started playing basketball for the Jerome Recreation Center on January 5th. He is loving it. And learning a lot. It is so fun to go and watch and cheer your kid on and all the other kids. Samantha and Tucker are great cheerleaders too! They only play 6 games, one every Saturday until Feb. 8th. Short season, but great for beginners. So far their team has tied one game, lost 2 games, and Won one game. His interest in playing sports has peaked, and so I think we are on to Soccer after this. Samantha wants to play soccer too. So we will see. Take care all.

January 31st, 2008

Just wanted to share our weather forecast with you. I feel like I moved back to Alaska. Although very pretty to look at, I am ready for spring. I was getting tired of looking at all the dirty snow everywhere, and was wishing it would go away. I should be careful what I wish for, because today it has been covered with 4 inches of new snow. :-) Oh well, at least the dirty snow went away. School was closed this afternoon and I am sure we are not going tomorrow as it is to continue to snow all night. Hopefully, the winds will die down tomorrow and maybe we can build a snowman. Anyway, here's the weather report. What fun?? or Not!!

Sammy's BIG milestone

Samantha lost her first tooth on Thursday, 1/17/08. It was quite exciting. She discovered it Wednesday night after dinner. Her lower tooth was very loose. By Thursday night she wanted me to pull it. But being my emotional girl, she didn't know what to think of the loose tooth. She cried a lot about it on Wednesday night. She kept saying that when it fell out she would look funny. We just kept telling her she would look like a very big girl - especially since her Baby teeth were coming out. On Thursday night she had me pull it and she was a very big girl. After the tooth was out she cried for a good 1/2 hour. She kept telling us she didn't like it out. But quickly her mood changed when we told her the tooth fairy would bring her money for her tooth so she could go shopping at Claire's (her favorite store). By bedtime, she'd already decided what she was buying with the money and wanted to know how the tooth fairy got in the house. Oh......the beautiful innocence of a child.

So, in the morning all was well, and the tooth fairy actually remembered to visit her pillow (she has been know to forget several times with Big brothers teeth) :-) And the tooth fairy brought $3.00. Wow - I was lucky to get a quarter! Anyway here are pictures of my little baby girl and her big girl tooth missing. I am so not ready for her to grow up. I want to keep her my toddler forever. Oh, and Tucker was pretty in to the tooth thing too. He watched me pull it out and then cried for Sammy and then when all settled - he came to me and "me too - my turn". So cute!!!

Funny faces by Tucker

He loves to do these funny faces, and he is so funny doing them.

Tucker says Hi everyone!

These were so cute I had to put them on here. Tucker is doing so........great! He is on day 11 after his surgery. Since day 7th, we haven't had to give him any pain killer medicine, and it is wonderful to see my alert, silly, grouchy, loving little boy again. He is also starting to eat his normal foods, which makes him and us very happy!! He was getting very tired of ice cream and SOFT stuff. He wanted crunchy. The first night I made him Chicken nuggets (day 8), he practically attacked the plate he was so excited to finally have chicken again. He still swallows with caution, but it dosen't slow him down. He will go back to school on the 14th, after his follow-up with the doctor on the 11th. He is sleeping much sounder and peacefully. It is great to see this.

More Fun Snow Pictures

Snow Angel

Samantha has been waiting so patiently to make a snow angel. If only I had recorded it so you could hear her squeals of joy.

Snow - Snow and More Snow!

We are finally getting lots of snow. It started snowing this AM around 730 am and it has not stopped all day. Even right now it is still snowing. And, there is so much that they called at 1230 this afternoon and school was closing due to the snow. I guess that is unusual here. So at 1230 I headed off to school to pick up the kids. I was very glad, because if we had waited for the usual 245 pm I might not have been able to make it. I am guessing that we have about 8" right now, and snow is predicted tomorrow and basically the rest of the week. The kids are excited about all the snow, finally enough to really play in. We do miss our steep driveway in Bellingham. It made a great sledding hill.

Making Dad's Cake

These pictures were so cute, I had to post them. Brad's B-day was December 29th and we made him a carrot cake from scratch. (His favorite)
